Happy Birthday to me… Happy Birthday to me… Yes, my wonderful husband got me a new laptop for my birthday!! I am so excited that I thought I would blog. This thing is TONS faster and is TONS quieter and has TONS more memory and is TONS cuter! Thank you, Daniel!
So a little update before I post some new pictures for you guys of my huge belly and my little boy. I still haven’t had Claire, although it technically isn’t even my due date yet. I was hoping she would come on my birthday, but alas she has decided to have her very own birthday. So… now i want her to wait until Christmas is over so I can enjoy all my family without the pain of post labor stuff. Plus, it would be nice not to be in the hospital on Christmas day or eve for that matter. I feel great, except for being so huge. You’ll see what I mean in a bit.
I am reading this WONDERFUL book right now called Treasuring God in your Traditions by Noel Piper. I recommend it for all Christian families. It has truly inspired me to not only be purposeful about the traditions we have in our family but to actually HAVE them. For those of you who know me really well, you know that I have a tendency to not replace what traditions/customs I find pointless with anything else and so very often wind up not doing anything special on special occasions. It has been so cool for me to see that God is the ultimate originator of tradions and celebrations and that they can and SHOULD, with thoughtfulness and creativity, reflect who our God is and what He has done for us. That makes me really excited. So “YAY” for traditions!! I can’t wait to finish the book to set down the particulars of all our family tradtions. I don’t think being HUGE pregnant on Christmas will be one of them… 🙂
Now for the pictures and the stuff you really wanted to see anyway…
Josiah at halloween. A soccer player from Brazil, of course.
Josiah eating yummy chocolate and LOVING it, of course. 🙂
My clean baby. After bathtime with Daddy.
At McNattville. Josiah loved the train! And, I love you all so much I posted this
horrible picture of me, so you would know I was not lying when I said I was huge.
“Yay” for sisters and “Yay” for cousins!
